stayed here in January for 3 nights on the recommendation of my son who had stayed there on 2 previous occasions.Excellent location being a 10 minute walk from the central railway station.Located in a square just off the main town square but not disturbed at all by any night life.Room was in the courtyard-basic but very comfortable and WARM!!. Plenty of eating places and bars on the square. Will definately stay there again, when in Krakow
I've stayed at Globtroter twice now and would recommend it to anyone visiting Krakow! It's got a really nice atmosphere, lovely staff and fantastic location. They don't do breakfast (or other meals) but you don't really need it as there are loads of nice, cheap restaurants and cafes all around, including a great place for breakfast and lunch next door.
Globtroter is within a couple of minutes of the main town square and about 15 minutes walk from the station- perfect position. It is reached via courtyard off the street and is very quiet. It has "character" which might not be to everyone's taste but we thought it great. The furnishings and decor are dated but clean and our room was spacious. The real bonus was the large shower with very hot water and great pressure. The girl behind the desk was charming and very helpful. What more can one want: we were glad to be in an interesting hotel rather than a mass produced chain and the price was excellent. We went to Camelot at Sw.Tomaszka 17 for breakfast - only a couple of minutes walk. Lovely food perfectly presented and a very cosy quirky place with nice staff.
The Globtroter was a brilliant hotel. The staff were friendly and very informative and helpful. The room was excellent, cosy and clean, the shower large. The location was excellent, right near main square. On xmas day Piotr brought cake to the guests which was very nice. They could not do enough for you. Small hotel, so a personal touch. Really good.
Only thing i would have liked was a dressing table and mirror that was higher. The quality of information in the internet room looked very good also. Thanks to Globtroter.
I stayed at Globtroter Guest House for 5 nights with a friend and we had a great stay. We both had our own, comfortable beds. The room was well heated (it was winter) and we had our own bathroom. It also had a lovely courtyard and was quiet at night. It definitely was not a "party" hostel which we appreciated. They came and cleaned the room each day and we even had a water heater for coffee or tea each morning. Every question we had was answer and they helped us in booking or getting to places in or near Krakow. I would definitely stay again.
We found this guest house through Rick Steve's Eastern Europe. Although it was a little difficult to locate because you first go through a building's hallway, and there is no signage for the guest house outside, to get to it. Then we discovered a lovely courtyard leading to the guest house. The location is great and we had a wonderful time roaming old town Krakow. The staff members were friendly and helpful with suggestions. Overall a great value!
Stayed here first week of December-first time. Brilliant location near city centre, wonderfully helpful and friendly staff. Rooms simple but clean. Free use of computer. Would definitely stay here again and can recommend to anyone planning a stay in Krakow. One word describes this accomodation-SUPERB.
