Great hotel - really friendly staff - ideal location - even for rich people who book 5*
English Football Team should have stayed here instead!!
Although do not do breakfast - restuarant opposite in the small Square is great and good value.

Excellent location, as it was located in Old Town, very near the Square. Secondly, it's located in a nice, quiet courtyard, and so is very homey. Thirdly, the rooms we were given were HUGE. The ceiling was very high and it was more like a mini-apartment than a room. Could easily have slept 6 people instead of just us two. Fourthly, we were allowed to check in very early (at 8 am). We'd just got off the over night train from Prague and I was worried our room would not be ready yet but it was. I had corresponded with the hotel staff earlier and they said that early check in could not be guaranteed but it was. Fifthly, the room had coffee and tea making facilities so we did not have to worry about breakfast. It also had a nice balcony for us to look out from. It snowed (in April) while we were there and it was lovely to see the snow from our room. Staff at the reception were extremely helpful in pointing us around. I would recommend this place to anyone and if I ever come to Krakow again, I would definitely stay here. Good job Globtroter!

Stayed in the Globtroter, Krakow for one week in March 2012 for business and leisure purposes. The room was spacious (high ceilings as this is an old building) with ample bathroom with a good shower with plenty of hot water. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet by Krakow standards at night, as most of the rooms are off the street around a courtyard towards the back of the building. The location is excellent if you want quick access to the main square and all the bars, restaurants, sights and sounds of the Old Town. Easy walk down the park (Planty) to Wawel castle and the river which is beautiful especially on a sunny day! Would stay again in the Globtroter on a return visit to Krakow. Staff on reception also very friendly and helpful.

The guesthouse is situated behind one of the main streets leading to the main square, so you really couldn't be much more centrally based. The fact that it is actually behind the main buildings (through a corridor and courtyard) is also nice as it cuts out all of the noise from the street. There is a bar in one of the adjoining buildings, and a couple of reviews we read prior to our trip mentioned it being quite noisy, but we personally didn't hear anything any of the three nights we stayed, and our room overlooked it's back entrance.

The guesthouse itself is really cosy and authentic. The room was lovely and warm and it had a decent shower.

We were also very impressed with all of the staff. The guesthouse operate a 24hour reception and each of the four staff we met were very approachable and happy to help with any queries we had. They all also spoke excellent English, as did most people in the city (which is always a little embarassing considernig we're in their country!)
Really can't fault the place, we have stayed in hostels and guesthouses all over the world and this is definately one of the best we've been in. Thoroughly deserves it's high user rating.

I consider the Globtroter to be one of Krakow best kept secrets! It's a fantastic hotel/hostel exceeding all of my expectations in terms of price, value for money, cleaness, location, security and friendliness of staff. It's an excellent place which I visit time and time again and I feel comfortable encouraging friends and colleagues to do likewise when they visit Krakow. In summary, the Globtoter its an excellent place, which makes the traveller/s feel like home.

stayed here in January for 3 nights on the recommendation of my son who had stayed there on 2 previous occasions.Excellent location being a 10 minute walk from the central railway station.Located in a square just off the main town square but not disturbed at all by any night life.Room was in the courtyard-basic but very comfortable and WARM!!. Plenty of eating places and bars on the square. Will definately stay there again, when in Krakow

I've stayed at Globtroter twice now and would recommend it to anyone visiting Krakow! It's got a really nice atmosphere, lovely staff and fantastic location. They don't do breakfast (or other meals) but you don't really need it as there are loads of nice, cheap restaurants and cafes all around, including a great place for breakfast and lunch next door.

Globtroter is within a couple of minutes of the main town square and about 15 minutes walk from the station- perfect position. It is reached via courtyard off the street and is very quiet. It has "character" which might not be to everyone's taste but we thought it great. The furnishings and decor are dated but clean and our room was spacious. The real bonus was the large shower with very hot water and great pressure. The girl behind the desk was charming and very helpful. What more can one want: we were glad to be in an interesting hotel rather than a mass produced chain and the price was excellent. We went to Camelot at Sw.Tomaszka 17 for breakfast - only a couple of minutes walk. Lovely food perfectly presented and a very cosy quirky place with nice staff.
